Basiclly, after Trigun and Fullmetal Alchemist, Yu yu Hakusho is the best anime ever made. And Hiei, a demon convicted who weilds a sword and constantly wants to taste the blood of his opposers. It is revealed that Kuwabara faked his death to bring out Yusukes power.

He is soon joined by Kuwabara, a fellow classmate who's only goal is to beat Yusuke in a street fight, but never does, Kurama, a collected individual who is " bishonen", and is constantly pushing himself to his own suicide. Yusuke Urameshi is the main protagonist of the anime series YuYu Hakusho. His main weapon is a weapon of concentrated aura blown from his finger as a gun. Genkai's manga role ends in death (of old age, most likely), but the specific terms and conditions of her bequeathal remain unchanged. In a freak accident, he gets run over by a car and dies. The series opens with Yuske Urameshi, a 14 year old loner who has no friends, never attends school, and gets into fights just to blow off steam.
The series goes on for 104 episodes with 7 sagas, the last three of which are the longest. It is one of VERY few anime where the main character isn't all about virtue and peace and all that other stuff that makes animes look like comic book heroes. All of this comes to a head after the conclusion of the first tournament to decide the king of Demon World, as while visiting Raizen's grave before returning to Human World, Yusuke acknowledges his ancestral father as dad.A kick-ass anime where a group of teenagers confront demons and dwindle on the border between life and death, demons and humans, and reality and fantasy. However, after training and coming to an understanding with Raizen, Yusuke comes to appreciate and seek mastery over his newfound power. By the end of Chapter Black and his battle with Sensui, Yusuke, while far from being able to fully harness Raizen's power, was at least strong enough to awaken it.ĭue to its sudden emergence robbing him of a rematch with Sensui on his own terms, Yusuke views Raizen's power as a burden. This also explains why the atavism remained dormant following Yusuke's death at the beginning of the series, as he had yet to become the powerful Spirit Detective we know and love. Raizen's genes, the Atavism of the Mazoku, skipped 44 generations over the course of 700+ years before reappearing in Yusuke, as the power of the Mazoku could only resurface in the body of a descendant strong enough to wield it. She proceeds to taunt Raizen, even goading him into simply killing her as an alternative, but Raizen - now vexed by the woman, and admittedly in love with her - refuses and instead the two lay together. The woman confidently reveals that she is awake, and states that her toxin-filled body would kill the demon were he to eat her (during this pre-modern era of medicine, healers directly ingested poisons and produced natural vaccines from their own blood). Just seeing the anguish after the True Companions break out of Itsukis prison dimension only to see Yusuke killed RIGHT IN FRONT OF. The same night, as she lay asleep and seemingly unaware, Raizen approaches the healer with every intent to eat her. Without hesitation and despite his demon-hood, the woman treats Raizen and provides him a place to stay. After suffering an injury while raiding a village for food, Raizen flees the scene and seeks refuge in the home of a medicine woman. She immediately notices Raizen's presence and confronts him, showing no fear of the injured demon's threatening aura. To him, loyalty to humans or demons meant nothing - he just wanted to eat. Yusuke defeats Chu in a knife-edge death match, Kurama defeats Gama and Risho, and Bakken beats Kurama until Yusuke saves him.

However, demons saw humans as nothing more than food, and this fact of life was no more true for anyone than the future Demon King, Raizen. In this arc of Yu Yu Hakusho, Yusuke goes on a date with Keiko while in the spirit world, it is revealed that Toguro threw his fight with Yusuke to give Sakyo Tarukanes fortune. After unleashing their attacks, Yusuke comes out on top, overpowering Toguro with his full potential.
